I am an artist, crafter, and entrepreneur. I started selling my handmade art and crafts about 10 years ago while I was going to school for Fine Arts. By Kaye With Love is a place where I intend to focus on selling my digital art and products as I break into the world of E-commerce. Before I created By Kaye With Love, I sold only tangible hand crafted items under the most recent name of Handmade By Kaye. My creative journey has been a long and often interrupted one, but my desire to live from creating has never been more strong. It started with a dream “I want to make MMORPGs for girls that don’t focus on fashion, physical beauty standards, and romantic relationships!” So I started going to college to get a degree in Visual Communications. Luckily, I was early into my college experience when I realized I was not capable of the math involved, its always been my worst subject. After nearly failing trigonometry, and seriously dropping my GPA, I switched to a Fine Arts degree. I might not be able to create video games from scratch but there limitless other things I can make. It started small. Classmates and coworkers, friends and family, then the referrals started friends of friends, or admirers of my creations that had been given my info. Before I knew it I was getting commissions and custom orders and I got excited. I started going to businesses around town and consigning products with them. Things were great until life hit, forcing me to pause my journey. I dropped out of school 8 credits short of a degree, suffered off and on over the years from various health issues, and started a family. It’s finally the right time to un-pause my journey and I am so glad you’ve made it here to be a part of it! I intend to make a variety of products that are aesthetically pleasing, useful, and will bring joy to others. For me, it’s not an option of “to create or not”. The only option is “Do I use my creativity to elevate myself and others or not?”. It is now my mission in life to create the things I want to see in this world; be it art or crafts, attitudes and beliefs, or just a brief spark of joy in someone's life.
